Another formula for success-Follow. Do Not Lead

I was going through a little piece of article on the life of Bill Gates and by golly I was surprized. Here are some facts which I found on Bill Gates’s life

Microsoft’ s fir Viagra o levitra st product was a version of the programming language BASIC for the Altair Buy viagra 8800, arguably the world’s first personal computer. BASIC, invented by John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz in 1964, was someone else’s idea. So was the Altair. Gates merely plugged one into the other, cream-cheesed the waiting bagel and came up with a giant hit.

By 1980, IBM h ad decided to build person Viagra generika al computers and needed a PC operating system. (Computers are born naked; they need operating systems to be presentable.) Mammoth, blue-chip IBM employed thousands of capable software builders, and didn’t trust a single one of them; IBM hired Microsoft to build its operating system. Microsoft bought Q-DOS from a company called Seattle Computer Products and retailored it for the PC.

Apple released the Macintosh in January 1984: a tony, lasix order sophisticated computer was now available to the Buy Clomid Online Pharmacy No Prescription Needed masses. Henceforth DOS was not merely homely, it was obsolete. But it continued to rake in money, so what if the critics hated it? In May 1990, Microsoft finally perfected its own version of Apple windows and called it Microsoft Windows 3.0 — another huge hit. Now Gates really Buy Cipro Online had it made.

These three incidents teach us this lesson( dont know whether good or bad):

It can be wiser to follow than to lead. Let the innovators Buy pamelor online hit the beaches and take the losses; if you hold back and follow, you can clean up in peace and quiet.

Most of the content of this post is “lifted” and not original. I thought it better to copy than to write on my own. :-p

Anything’s Possible

Treat this piece as a follow-up to my previous entry about that on/off PC. In the past few weeks, I came across two very exciting developments. However, I must tell you here that my PC’s configuration was not good enough for both these programs to do what they supposedly do.

The first one is called KGB archiver. Buy viagra My very good friend “sp’y'der” told me about it and frankly I couldnt believe what he was telling me. According to the official website

KGB Archiver is the compression tool with unbelievable high compression rate. Viagra generika It surpasses even such efficient compression tool like 7zip and UHARC in terms of the abilities. KGB Archiver is an application created to allow you to compress and decompress files. Unfortunately although its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware Online Pharmacy requirements (I recommend processor with 1,5GHz clock and 256MB of RAM as an essential minimum).

To give you some idea of its abilities, spyder tried to send me MS office(aye MS office) via yahoo messenger. The file size was like 1.4mb!!!! Ya that aint gb, it is mb only. Viagra o levitra So now u probably get the picture.

And now the second thing. This thing is in a way related to the first thing only. This is a game called K.Krieger. Another ‘gr8′ friend of mine who is currently studying in IIT KGP told me about it. Once again my PC and aye his own werent good enough for the game.According to the read me of the document, these are the minimum system requirements for the game:

.kkrieger requires a relatively high-end machine to run properly.

To be precise: – A 1.5GHz Pentium3/Athlon or faster. – 512MB of RAM (or more) – A Geforce4Ti (or higher) or ATI Radeon8500 (or higher) graphics card supporting pixel shaders 1.3, preferably with 128MB or more of VRAM. – Some kind of sound hardware – DirectX 9.0b

according to ’gr8′, who played this game on his friend’s PC, this game has graphics which are as good as those of a certain Unreal Tournament.

SO did I miss out anything.hmmmm i guess thats about it. oh did i mention that the game setup is 96 ‘k’b big??

An on-off computer

If someone else has thought about it already or if this thing has already been made then my due appologies to them. But there is no plagiarism(hope the spelling is correct) here. The idea was conceived in my mind a year or so back.

So let me cut the crap and come straight to the point. Today’s computers all have thing in common. Viagra generika You sw itch Viagra o levitra them on, the OS takes time to load and finally after a minute or so only are you able to make use of it. The same thing with shutting it off. You close all your applications that are running. Save all your work and finally click on the Buy Zoloft Online SHUT DOWN button.

Now compare the situation with that of a television. You switch it on. The screen comes to life in a few seconds. You change the channel from 10 to 40, make a few adjustments in volume, brightness and contrast and then just like that when you get bored you simply Buy Viagra Online Pharmacy No Prescription Needed switch it off. There is no SHUT DOWN button which you have to click. And the next time when you switch on your television, channel 40 is displayed and the changes that you made in the settings are not undone either. Buy viagra

So do you see my point here? How cool it would be if our computers could run like televisions. Shit light chali gayee. will continue.

ok light finally aa gayee. had to SHUT DOWN and RESTART my computer. toh kahaan tha main??

ya. imagine you are playing your favourite game (or for that matter you are blogging). Achanak light chali jaati hai. DAMN. you have to exit from the game after saving it. and then you have to close all the other applications which may have been running and finally SHUT DOWN the computer.I m assuming that ya do have a UPS. And then just a minute later, the power is back. You cant believe your luck eh?? So after a little cursing, you again RESTART your computer, wait for the OS to load and then click on that game icon on your desktop, load a saved game and then after like 5 minutes you finally start playing again. 10 minutes later, power is down again. This time you decide to test your UPS. 5 minutes down. 6,7,8,9,10. tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It’s all over. The computer is switched off and you couldnt even save your game. And then to rub salt to your wounds, the power comes back after a minute!!!(Now how many times does that happen?)

Now imagine if you had an on-off type of computer. You switch it on and it takes 10 seconds to load. Do whatever you want to do. And whenever you feel like, just switch it off. Suppose you switched it off in the middle of a game. The next time you switch it on, you simply resume your play!! Just like a TV. Now is that cool or is that cool?

When I discussed this idea with some friends of mine, they ridiculed it.Said some of the lamest things like “just switch off the monitor yaar”. If they are reading this, I hope they appreciate it and see my point now.

Lastly, I believe only Indians can make such a computer. You know why?? Because the americans are not gonna work in this direction. Kyonki America mein light jaati hi nahin!!!!
